Dennis Griep

Dennis L. Griep,77, of Evansville, MN, formerly of Henning, MN, died on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at his residence.

Dennis Leonard was born on October 3, 1941, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Leonard and Lorraine Kopesch Baumgarten. He was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Faith. Dennis graduated from High School in Westbrook, MN. After school he carried on his true passion of farming while working other various jobs throughout the years. He had one son, Jesse Griep who passed away in 2007.

Dennis’s hobbies included racing stock cars in Shakopee, gardening and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lorraine; a son, Jesse Griep and a brother, Terry Griep.

Dennis is survived by three siblings, Leilani (Edward) Goerish of Ashby, Thomas (Janie) Griep of Perham, MN and Timothy (Sharon) Griep of Ashby, MN along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Evansville, with a memorial gathering one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Pelican Lake Cemetery, Ashby, MN
