George Dickey

George Dickey, 68 of rural Evansville died Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Vibra Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

George Michael Dickey was born on August 8, 1951, in Perham, Minnesota the son of John and Phyllis (Lamfers) Dickey.  He was baptized in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton.  He attended Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic School in Millerville through the eighth grade.

George and Beverly Ann Klimek were married on August 14, 1976, in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Brandon.  They lived on their farm by Evansville where they dairy farmed.  He enjoyed auctions, collecting toy tractors, puzzles, polka music & music in general, being outdoors, farming, fishing, church dinners, Sunday drives, and spending time with family and friends.   George was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; four children, Michelle Vipond of Aberdeen, SD, James (Celeste) Dickey of Amery, WI, Mike (Erica) Dickey of Alexandria and Travis (Patty) Dickey of Evansville; eleven grandchildren, Nicholas, Rebecca, Juliana, Makayla, Greta, Daphne, Bodhi, Royce, Grace, Faith and Thomas; nine siblings, John (Mona) Dickey of Donnelly, Jane (Bob) Scheff of Indiana, Barb (Roger) Johnson of Arkansas, Gene (Jeanie) Dickey of Alexandria, Mark (Sharon) Dickey of Andover, Tom (Ginny) Dickey of Millerville, Joe Dickey of Millerville, Don (Ruth) Dickey of Brandon and Pat (Lisa) Dickey of St. Cloud; sister-in-law, Christi Dickey of Fergus Falls; and by numerous relatives and friends.  George was preceded in death by his parents, John and Phyllis Dickey and one brother, Bill Dickey.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Brandon.

Visitation: Monday from 4 to 7 PM, with a 6:30 PM KC Rosary followed by Parish Prayers, at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Visitation resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
