James H. Jansen, 78, of Henning, formerly of Worthington, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the Golden Living Center in Henning.
James Henry was born on June 11, 1937, in Worthington, Minnesota, the son of Carl and Dorothy (Lucks) Jansen. He attended Worthington Public Schools while growing up. After school he worked various jobs before finding his life career in the railroad industry where he worked as a Brakeman for over 30 years.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids.
James is survived by two daughters, Laura (Bryan) Heidebrink of Fergus Falls and Robin (Jeff) Koch of LaVernia, TX; two sons, Wes Jansen of Luverne, MN and Mark (Analia) Jansen of El Paso, TX, two sisters, Carol Walkins and Carla Immens both of California; 7 grandchildren, Lance (Sara), Sarah (Fiance Sam Kiefer), Katy (Jake), Laura, Ashly, Siria and Joaquin; two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Elijah along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dorothy and a brother, Jerome who died in Vietnam.
Prayer Service: 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls.
