Raymond Cichy

Raymond Cichy, 74, of Fergus Falls, MN, died on Monday, December 16, 2019, at West Central Community Services in Fergus Falls.

Raymond Joseph was born on September 10, 1945, in rural Ottertail County, the son of Simon and Ella (Schimming) Cichy. His siblings included Helen Borash, Paul Cichy, Evelyn Erickson, Marion Schmidt, Betty Cichy and Florence “Diane” Cichy and John Cichy. He worked with Productive Alternatives and lived in Fergus Falls with the support of West Central Community Services. Raymond loved latch hooking rugs and putting puzzles together. Raymond enjoyed going to church, being with friends, watching his endless collection of Disney videos and going to movies. Raymond participated in Special Olympics, enjoyed picking raspberries, going for boat rides and most of all being home.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by countless friends and all his caregivers through the years at PAI and West Central Community Services.

Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2019, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment: St. Leonard Catholic Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MN
