Sharon Doeden, 71, of Moorhead, formerly of the Battle Lake area, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
Sharon Marie Wollertson was born on February 1, 1945 in Halstad, Minnesota, the daughter of Ingman and Alva (Holte) Wollertson. She attended school in Shelly, graduating from Climax High School. Sharon went on to attend Concordia College and Moorhead State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Moorhead State with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting and later passed her CPA exam.
On September 24, 1966, Sharon married John E. Doeden at Shelly Marsh River Lutheran Church in Shelly, Minnesota, and they were blessed with two daughters.
Sharon held many accounting-related positions through the years and worked until the time of her death, most recently for Scott's Electric in Wahpeton, ND.
Sharon enjoyed time spent on the lake, pontoon rides, reading, and traveling. Most important to Sharon was her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren, notably the annual Christmas trip to Lutsen Mountain.
She is survived by her husband, John of Moorhead; two daughters, Heather (Steve) Selseth of Moorhead and Tina (Levi) Stanley of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren, Hali, Leiton and Boden Selseth; and Emma Stanley; sisters, Ionne (Jim) Haugstul of Fosston, MN and Juneal Doeden of Moorhead; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Service: 12 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Eagle Lake Lutheran Church, rural Battle Lake, with visitation beginning at 11 AM at the church.
