A. Valborg Tungseth, 87, of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, November 20, 2014.
Valborg was born March 15 1927 in Hawley, Minnesota, the daughter of Anton and Thea (Halverson) Tungseth. Her family moved to Fergus Falls in 1939. Valborg attended rural school in Buse Township and was confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in 1941. She attended and graduated from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in 1944. She then attended and graduated from Fargo Business School for Bookkeeping.
Valborg lived and worked in several cities on the West Coast, including: Seattle, Washington, San Francisco, California, Los Angeles, California, and Denver, Colorado. After retirement, she moved to Fargo, North Dakota, and later to Fergus Falls in September of 2012.
Preceding her in death are her parents; brothers, Norman and Peter; sister, Eva Cashman; and nephew, Steve Tungseth.
Valborg is survived by a niece, Becky (Wayne) Nordland of Fergus Falls; nephews David (Margaret) Tungseth of Moorhead, Mark (Cathy) Tungseth, of Fergus Falls, John (Ruby)
Tungseth of Fergus Falls, and Jim (Bonnilyn) of Alexandria.
