Adrian A. Ellingson, 85, of Evansville, died Sunday, November 20, 2011, at Evansville Care Center.
Adrian Aldrich Ellingson was born May 14, 1926 in Lund Township, rural Evansville to Otto and Elizabeth (Anderson) Ellingson. He attended District 58 Kron School and was confirmed at Christina Lake Lutheran Church where he has been a lifelong member.
He farmed and milked cows in Lund Township. In 1972 he married Georgia Slack. She died in 1995. In 1999 he married Janice Halvorson and she died in 2003. He retired from farming in 1977.
Adrian enjoyed hunting and fishing, his retreat in Cook, MN, drinking coffee and visiting.
He is survived by his step-children, Larry (Linda) Slack of Brandon, Greg Slack (Peggy) of Evansville, George (Sharon) Slack of Alexandria, Sonya (Bill) Byrne of Welch, Tom (Mona) Slack of Evansville and Roger (Rita) Slack of Boise, ID; 19 step-grandchildren and 20 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Georgia and Janice; 3 step-grandchildren, Taylor, Rebecca and Darin; a half brother, Herbert Hendrickson and a half sister, Olivia Dahlen.
Funeral Services: 2 PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Christina Lake Lutheran Church, Evansville
Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the church
