Allen Russell Albertson

Allen journeyed to is heavenly home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Allen Russell was born to Kenneth and Florence (Bergman) Albertson near Fergus Falls, Minnesota. They later moved to the farm south of Foxhome.

Allen married Barbara Jorgenson on July 28, 1957. They had two children Dawn (Lee) Alderin, Center, ND and Dallen (Sue) Albertson of Wall Lake.

Allen and Barbara were dairy and grain farmers. They also owned/operated Foxhome Repair selling and repairing snowmobiles for 28 years. Allen was a 4-H leader and served on various church councils and boards.

Allen and Barb spent their retirement years at their lake home and winters in Texas with friends that were like family.

Allen is survived by his wife Barb of 67 years; children Dawn (Lee) Alderin, and Dallen (Sue) Albertson; grandchildren Amanda (Shane) Talkington, Belfield, ND, Dusty (Danielle) Alderin, Mandan, ND, Matthew (Tina) Albertson, Monticello, MN, Joe (Kari) Albertson, Vergas, MN; nine great grandchildren Abby, Hadley and Cade Talkington, Lee and Carlee Alderin, Spencer and Blake Albertson, and Damion and Delilah Albertson.

Allen is preceded in death by his brother Ron, nephew Jeremy and parents Florence and Kenneth.

A visitation will be held Monday, December 16, 2024, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls at 11:00am with a visitation at 10:00am.
