Amy F. Wilson, 76, of Battle Lake, died Monday, May 9, 2016, at Lake Region Healthcare.
Amy Florence was born on February 1, 1940, in Abingdon, Illinois, the daughter of Willard and Alta (Woolley) Lind. She attended school in Milaca and earned her GED from Wadena. Amy later attended Business School in Anoka, MN.
She married Roy A. Johnson in Onamia, MN. The couple had four children, Edith, Randy, Floyd and Patrick. She later married Leslie Wilson in Vining, MN. The couple had two children, Tina and Amy.
Amy owned the Café in Vining for several years before becoming a Nurses Aid/Cook at various nursing homes.
Amy enjoyed gardening, cooking, hosting Tupperware parties, was very artsy with paints and ceramics and loved animals, especially horses. She enjoyed listening to old time country music, had a great sense of humor and was very passionate about her faith and instilling that in her children. Amy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Alta; husband, Leslie; two brothers, Art and Bob Lind; a sister, Kay Armstrong; sister in law, Phyllis Lind and brother-in-law, Curt Braaten; a nephew, Scotty and nieces, Jean and Becky.
She is survived by her six children, Edie (Mike)Sonnek of Foreston, MN and their children, Curt (Amber), Tami (Ryan)and Jamie (Stew), Randy (Pam) Johnson of Blaine, MN and their children, Sam (Fiancée Amy) and Nick Johnson, Floyd (Chris) Johnson of Fergus Falls, MN and their children, Sarah (Jason), Isaiah (Robyn), Ami (Jake) and Cody (Molly) and Cassidy (Stewart), Patrick (Carol) Johnson of Vining and their children, Josh (Fiancée Heather), Trevor and Blake, Tina (Troy) Rubink of Underwood and their children, Taylor and Austin, Amy (Brad)Lifer of Cook, MN and their children, Mariah (Fiancée Malaki), Thomas, Calob and Nate; special family friend and thought of like a daughter, Annie Van Hunnik; 15 great grandchildren, Brayden, Ayla, Addy, Brooklyn, Justin, Anna, Ethan, Seth, Benjamin, Henry, Avery, Bristel, Hadley, Teekyn and Bensyn; three siblings, Willard (Irene) Lind, Hope Braaten and Harry Bird along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
