Bette Jane Meyer 69, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Sunday August 14th 2016 at 5:45 am.
Bette was born May 17th 1947 in Wheaton, Mn to Fred and Lillian Elofson (Swedland)
In 1965, Bette graduated from Wheaton High School where she loved to play in the band.
Bette was a sweet amazing person. Always hospitable she enjoyed cooking and baking.
Bette was a folk musician happiest on the banjo and mandolin singing her heart out. Bette loved Jesus and worshiped him regularly at Firestarters Church in Ottertail, Mn.
Bette's style was timeless and she didn't leave the house without her high heels and lipstick. She was 100% Swedish with all the grace, beauty and stubbornness that goes with it. We were all blessed to have known her.
Bette is survived by her husband Gordy Meyer. Children: Trudi (Gregg) Goodspeed, Breta Danielson and Jay Thompson. Seven Grandchildren: Jessica, Ethan, Luke, Kristen, Torie, Macie & Joshua. Five great grandchildren: Lucy, James, Silas, Henry, and a new baby boy in October. Sister: Kay Webber.
She was preceded in death by her sister Joyce and her parents.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bette will be held outdoors at Gordy and Bette's home. Wednesday August 17th at 2:00 pm.
