Beverly Abbott, 77, of Fergus Falls died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Lake Region Hospital.
She was born May 14, 1934 in Kindred, ND to Morris and Julia (Jensen) Lahren. Beverly was baptized and confirmed at West Prairie Lutheran Church near Kindred. She attended Woods Country School and Nygaard School before graduating from Kindred High School in 1952. After high school, she moved to Fargo where she worked as a waitress. She then moved to Fergus Falls and then to Carlisle. She was united in marriage to Clayton Abbott on November 28, 1968 in Sisseton, SD. In July 2008 she moved back to Fergus Falls.
Beverly enjoyed puzzles, baking, gardening, crossword puzzles and playing cards. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
She is survived by her children: Denyce Torma of Staples, Lynn (Wendy) Harlow of Erhard, David (Deb) Harlow of Staples, Dwight Harlow of Carlisle, and Dean (Sue) Harlow of Amor; her sister, Yvonne Langer of Fergus Falls; two brothers: Gerald (Shirley) Lahren of Kindred, ND and Kent (Jan) Lahren of Walcott, ND; step-children: Sandy (Dwayne) Bauman of Underwood, Julie Bye, Cindy Abbott, Lori (Mark) Jensen, Tammy (Wayne) Carlson and Terry Abbott all of Fergus Falls; two sisters-in-law: Mitsuko Lahren of Colorado Springs, CO and Monica Lahren of Nimrod, MN and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Robert Harlow and Clayton Abbott; a daughter, Linda Harlow; two grandchildren: Clayton Harlow and Malachi Harlow; a stepson, Rodney Abbott; two sisters: Mary Jane Bakkerud and Donna Burkhart and two brothers: Marvin Lahren and Keith Lahren.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
