Charles "Bill" Riley, 68, of Fergus Falls died Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
He was born October 25, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN to Charles and Myrtle "Maggie" (Rose) Riley. He grew up and received his schooling in Florida. Bill then moved to Colorado where he worked in telecommunications. In the 1990's, he transferred to Monticello, MN still working in telecommunications. He retired in November of 2001. On January 3, 2002, Bill was united in marriage to Anita Doyle in Buffalo, MN. The couple made their home in Clear Lake before moving to Fergus Falls in 2004.
Bill loved fishing and hunting, restoring Mopar vehicles and drag racing in his younger days. He was especially fond of good cooking and enjoyed a good meal. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the NRA.
Bill is survived by his wife, Anita of Fergus Falls; his mother, Maggie Wardle of Fergus Falls; his children: Amanda (Nick) Hunt of Aurora, CO, Geoff (Tevin) Riley of Brighton, CO and Melody Martel of Yulee, FL; and three grandchildren: Zach, Brandon and Autumn. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Phil Riley.
