Christine Eveland, 51, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, October 9, 2017, at her home under the care of her family and Lakeland Hospice.
Christine (Chris) was born August 17, 1966 to John and Beverly (Elshaug) Johnson in Missoula, Montana. Shortly after, her family moved to Minnesota and Fergus Falls became her home. She graduated from Fergus Falls Senior High School in 1983.
In 1984, she married Dwight Harlow and to this union her three beautiful children, Marie, Darrin, and Jesse were born.
In 2005, she met the love of her life, Mark Eveland, and on April 21, 2007, they were united in marriage.
Chris worked several jobs throughout her life, having most recently worked at the Veteran’s Home in Fergus Falls. She loved taking care of others and was always there if you needed her. She enjoyed baking all sorts of goodies for family and friends. If she wasn’t at work, you could almost always find her in the kitchen.
Christine is survived by her loving husband, Mark; daughter, Marie (Eric) Toso of Rothsay; son, Jesse (Nallely) Harlow of Grand Forks; and step-daughter, Sarah (Bill) Madison of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Gavin and Khia Toso; Kira Harlow, Romeo, Liam and Sophia Harlow; and Alex and Mia Madison; her parents, John and Bev Johnson; sister, Vicki (Lewis) Godel of Fargo; mother-in-law, Cam Eveland of Fergus Falls; brothers-in-law, David (Donna) Eveland of Fargo and Micheal (Beth) Eveland of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; numerous extended family and close friends; and her four-legged baby, Sammy.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; aunt, Delores; and her son, Darrin.
Chris was loved and will be missed by many and will live on forever in our hearts.
Visitation: 5 - 7 PM Monday, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and one hour prior to services.
