Clara Holey, 69 of Fergus Falls died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Essentia Critical Care in Fargo.

Clara Mildred Holey was born on June 19, 1941 in Walhalla, North Dakota the daughter of William and Christina (Frank) Hamilton. She grew up and attended school in Walhalla.

She lived in Fargo, then eight years in Arizona, then in the Minneapolis area. She was a CNA working in health care along with being a homemaker.

Clara and Lars Holey were married on February 28, 2000 in Sisseton, South Dakota and on June 24th they had a reception at Lenny's Dance Barn. Clara and Lars "Papa", lived in various locations and after Lars passed away Clara moved to Fergus Falls. Clara played guitar and keyboard by ear and also loved to sing. She and Lars enjoyed dancing and playing bingo, they really enjoyed their years together.

She is survived by three children, Boni (Earl) Franklin of Globe, Az., Carl Penner of Glendale, Az. and Jeannine (Mark) Fitzsimmons of Henning; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister; nine brothers and by numerous relatives and friends. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, William and Christina Hamilton; her husband Lars on December 14, 2009 and by one daughter, June Gail Macchooro.

Graveside Service: 9 am Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Union Cemetery in Elbow Lake
