Darin Slack

Darin Slack, age 27, of Evansville, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD as result of a construction accident. To benefit others, Darin was an organ donor.

Darin Paul Slack was born December 29, 1983 in Alexandria, Mn. to Tom and Mona (Anderson) Slack. He was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church in Ashby. Darin attended Evansville School and graduated in 2002.

He worked construction for Dean Kapphahn and later went to work for Rainbow, Inc as a bridge painter, where he has worked for the last 9 years.

Darina�(TM)s enjoyment was being with family and friends. He loved entertaining, cooking, riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, fishing, darts and playing pool. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ashby and the Freedom First Riders.

Survivors include the love of his life, Patty Froemming; his parents, Tom and Mona Slack of Evansville; a sister, Debbie (Rob) Otto of Evansville; two brothers, Tom Slack, Jr (Char) of Maple Grove and Marc (Heather) Slack of Evansville; two nieces, Riley and Haddey; grandparents, Corky Slack and Nancy of Crystal, Andy and Elaine Anderson of Ashby; and step-grandfather, Adrian Ellingson of Evansville; and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by infant brothers, Tom and Tim; his grandmother Georgia Ellingson; god-mother and aunt, Marcia Anderson; cousins, Becky Peterson, Taylor Bergsrud and Andrea Slack.

Funeral Services: Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Evansville High School Gym, Evansville, MN

Visitation: one hour prior to the service
