David Lill

David W. Lill, 59, of rural Fergus Falls, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls.

David William Lill was born on November 9, 1953 in Fergus Falls, MN, the son of Wencil and Della (Etzler) Lill. He was baptized in the Catholic faith. David attended grade school in Carlisle and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1972. After graduating, David farmed with his uncle George and eventually took over the farm upon George's retirement. Earlier in life, David had many interests, including cars and bass fishing. David was also on numerous bowling leagues over the years.

David was passionate about his Brown Swiss Dairy Cattle and was known for the photography and artwork he produced over the years. He was a regular exhibitor at the Phelps Mill Festival, West OtterTail County Fair and his artwork is available in many area stores. A testament to David's love for nature was his many flower gardens on his farm.

He was a member of the Brown Swiss Cattle organization, the Heart O'Lakes Camera Club and was frequently a judge at art exhibits.

David was well liked and will be remembered for his kindness.

David is survived by his sister, Linda (Greg) Muchow of Fergus Falls; brother, Steven; two nephews: Tedd and Matt; two great nephews; one great-niece; and a host of cousins, neighbors, and friends.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral Service: 2 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls

Visitation: 12 PM – 2 PM Wednesday, at the funeral home

Interment: St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery
