Deborah Spears, 54 of Alexandria, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at her home.
Deborah Kay Spears was born on October 13, 1961, in Huron, South Dakota the daughter of Fredrick and Dorothy (Johnson) Neitzert. She was baptized in the American Lutheran Church in Huron and confirmed in the Calvary Lutheran Church in Perham. Debbie attended grade school in Huron and in 1973, moved with her family to Perham and graduated from the Perham High School in 1979. She furthered her education for one year at the Wadena Technical School, where she became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Debbie worked various jobs in different locations and in the fall of 2004, she returned to the Alexandria area. She did macramé and liked going to craft shows. In her school years she was active in 4-H and FFA.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Neitzert of Parkers Prairie; three siblings, Darby (Lanette) Neitzert of Frazee, Jeanie (Bill) Schalow of Evansville and Michael Neitzert of Parkers Prairie; and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Neitzert; husband, Daniel Spears; son, Cory Brown on July 9, 2004; sister, Lora Neitzert and brother, Kyle Neitzert.
Memorial Service: 1:00 pm, Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Evansville.
