Delores Watnaas

Delores Arlene Watnaas, 84, of Breckenridge (formally of Vining), died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Wilken County Group Home in Breckenridge.
Delores was born August, 31, 1931 in Vining to Gunder and Edith (Thompson) Watnaas. As a young child she attended school at District 265 in rural Vining. She was also educated at home by her mother and attended DAC in Parkers Prairie. Delores was a member of Folden Lutheran Church where she was baptized, confirmed and attended Sunday School. When her mother could no longer care for her, Delores lived in a few different group homes until she found her home at West Central Community Services Wilken County Group Home.
Delores, also known as DeeDee to many, enjoyed going out to eat and celebrating birthdays.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gunder and Edith; sister and brother-in-law Winnifred and Orville Demmer; sister-in-law Kathy Watnaas; nephew Larry Demmer; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Delores is survived by her brother, Gene Watnaas of Alexandria (formally of Vining); many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial Service: 1 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Folden Lutheran Church in Vining with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
