Diana June Marra

June 30, 1940 — January 5, 2025

Fergus Falls

Diana June Marra (Van’t Hul) was born June 30, 1940, in Hull, Iowa to William and Nellie (Vos) Van’t Hul. Diana grew up in Hull, graduating in 1958. After high school, she attended cosmetology school.

In 1959, Diana married the love of her life, Eugene Marra. Together they had one daughter, Leslie. In 1964, Diana and Eugene moved to Northern St. Paul, Minnesota. Diana was a woman of many talents. Having multiple jobs: as an ammunition’s inspector at U.S Arsenal, lab worker, realtor, and worked at Dayton ticket sales.

Diana was never short on exciting times as she got older, enjoying boating and snowmobiling. After retiring, Diana and Eugene moved to Pequot Lake. There she enjoyed golfing. She also enjoyed nature, finding solace in the beauty of the Minnesota Lakes. While enjoying the sun-soaked summers, Diana tended to her lovely flower garden.

Sadly, Eugene passed away in 2002 and Diana moved to Fergus Falls to be closer to her family.

While in Fergus Falls, Diana volunteered at Lake Region Hospital. She attended Bible Study at Grace Methodist Church, had lunch and played dominoes with friends, and liked the quiet time of reading. She treasured her time with her family, attending her grandchildren’s weddings, and she was elated to meet her great-grandchildren. With all her family around, Diana was always ready to jump on any new adventure that was presented to her. Being surrounded by family was a blessing that Diana constantly felt, especially around the holidays, spending them with the ones she loved most. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Diana is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Marra; five brothers: Donald, Harold, Elmer, Lloyd, and Milton Van’t Hul and one sister Jenelda Nieuwendorp.

Diana is survived by her daughter Leslie (Bruce) Lindblom, granddaughters: Desta Sillerud, Danielle Lindblom, and Sarah (Kenny) Bartholomew; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Ethan, and Addison Sillerud, Lucille and Lawrence Bartholomew and 12 nieces and nephews.

The family will be having a small service.
