Duane Hamilton, 49 of Evansville died Monday, August 23, 2021.
Duane Lawrence Hamilton was born on June 18, 1972, in Shakopee, Minnesota, the son of Lawrence and Kathleen (Lebens) Hamilton. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shakopee. Duane attended school in Shakopee and then with the Evansville Public School. He was employed as a carpenter in construction, then worked road construction, and at the time of his death was doing construction jobs in the Evansville area along with helping Mike Sanstead repairing cars. Duane enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, anything outdoors, and loved his Labrador dogs. He was always there for people who needed a helping hand.
He is survived by his father, Larry Hamilton of Kensington; two sisters, Denise (Mark) Henderson of McIntosh and Dana Hamilton of Hutchinson; three nieces and two great-nieces, Jessica Stephens and Naloni; Jackie Stephens and Madison; and Mylee Hamilton; and by numerous relatives and friends. Duane was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Hamilton, nephew, Joshua Stephens, grandparents, Harry & Violet Lebens and Lawrence & Alice Hamilton, and uncle, Edward Lebens.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 26 from 4-6 PM; with a 6 p.m. prayer service at Glende Nilson Funeral Home, Evansville.
