Edna R. Glass was born on September 19, 1923, in rural Henning around the Leaf Lakes, the daughter of Edwin Theodore and Rosine Caroline (Allenson) Kaste. She graduated from Henning High School in 1941.
On October 14, 1946, she married Duane Paul Glass in Minneapolis, MN. She worked in a coffee shop in Minneapolis as a waitress until 1954 when the couple moved to Henning. The couple were the parents of three children, Michael, Eva and Gary. In 2008 Edna moved to Perham. Edna was treasurer for three years at the Perham Senior Citizens Center.
Her hobbies included cards, crosswords and suduko puzzles.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her loving husband, Duane who passed in 2007; a son, Michael; a sister, Mable Sparks and brother-in-law, Clarence Sparks and a sister-in-law, Thelma.
She is survived by a daughter, Eva (Gordon) Johnson of Anoka, MN; a son, Gary (Jean) of Dent; a brother, Phillip; seven grandchildren, Titus, Zoie, Elysia, Holly, Nicole, Stacia and Michelle; four great grandchildren, Tristen, Satchel, Lydia and Carly Harris, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
