EEdwin John Duenow was born April 11, 1922, in Fergus Falls, the second youngest of 10 children born to George and Anna (Buchholz) Duenow. He attended country School District 66.
Eddie worked on the family farm, alongside his brother Harold, until he moved to his current residence on the family farm land, near Schmidt's Bridge. He enjoyed a short stay at Mill Street Residence until he was well enough to go back home. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed.
His hobbies included fishing and making them sour, also hunting up until the time of his death. One of his favorite past times was playing Smear with the family and frying chicken. When he was younger, he enjoyed dancing and snowmobiling.
On Tuesday, January 24, 2017, Eddie passed away at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 94 years, 9 months and 14 days.
Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Anna; nine brothers, sisters and their spouses, Walter (Elsie), Harold (Lila), Irene (Oliver) Kolle, Armin (Inez), Vernon (Ethel), Esther Duenow, Mildred (Melvin) Kolle, LaVerne (Julius) Krause and Lucille (Russell) Anderson; nine nieces and nephews, LaVera Norman, Kenwood "Ken" and Jerome Kolle, Donna Hagenson, Gerald "Jerry", George "Chuck", Larry, Dale Krause and Richard "Ricky" Anderson.
Family includes 17 nieces and nephews, Marcella, Lester, Janet, Wayne, Susan, Duane, Beverly, Val Jean, Keith, Patricia "Patsy", Roger, Gary, Marilyn, Marlo, Judy, Rodney and Randy along with many extended and beloved family and friends.
Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the church
