Eva Macheledt

Eva Macheledt, age 99, of Battle Lake , died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center.

Eva was born December 6, 1910 to Morris and Bertha (Hammel) Hoover in Tipton , IN. She grew up and received her education in Redwood Falls , MN . On July 10, 1931 Eva was united in marriage to Matthew Macheledt in Oldham , SD. To this union 2 sons were born, Matthew and Ronald. In 1983 Matthew passed away. Eva married Carl Alfred Jorgenson in 1987.

She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, reading, being a stand-in for movies (“Jessie” with Lee Remick and “Young Guns II” with Emillio Estevez) and spending her winters in Arizona . Eva especially enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking large meals and breakfasts.

Eva is survived by her sons, Matthew (Joan) Macheledt of White Bear Lake and Ronald (Colleen) Macheledt of Battle Lake; eleven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, especially Margie and Gary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild, Kai Larson.
