Eveline Louise (Marquardt) Mueller was born July 22, 1917 to William & Mathilda (Jordan) Marquardt on the Marquardt farm near Echo, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vesta, MN. Eveline attended rural school District 79 near Lucan, MN.
Eveline was united in marriage to Henry W. Mueller on September 20, 1936 in St. John's Lutheran Church in Vesta, MN. After their marriage, they farmed near Walnut Grove, MN for 12 years. In 1949, they moved to Perham where they operated Henry's Perfect Beach Resort on Big Pine Lake for 15 years. In 1963, they moved to Molly Stark Lake near Battle Lake, MN. There they built their retirement home and three cottages, operating Juniper Beach Resort until 1992. Eveline moved to Good Samaritan Senior Apartments in 2006 after Henry's death.
As a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Henning, MN, Eveline was an active member of the Women's Fellowship and Priscilla Circle. Eveline and Henry were founding members of the Battle Lake Senior Citizen's Association. Eveline enjoyed playing Pinochle at the Senior Citizen's Center and at home with her grandchildren. She also loved fishing off the dock with her many grandchildren and frying up the mounds of sunfish they caught; topped off by her famous apple pie. When her children and grandchildren were small she would teach them to sing "Jesus Loves Me".
Eveline passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Good Samaritan Care Center in Battle Lake, MN at the age of 99 years, 10 months and 25 days.
She is survived by sons: Leonard (Sharon) Mueller, Pensacola, FL and Arlan Mueller, Battle Lake, MN; daughters: Linda (Cliff) Poll, Perham, MN and Donna (Stephen) Mueller, Windsor Heights, IA; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; four nieces and one nephew.
Eveline is preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her sister, Esther Wilhite; daughter-in-law, Elaine (Arlan) Mueller; and grandchildren: Michael Poll, Jeffrey Mueller and Kimberly (Mueller) Coffee.
