Frances "Fran" Johnson, 87 of Fergus Falls, she died Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Lake Region Healthcare.
Frances Elaine Johnson was born on April 11, 1929, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota the daughter of William and Myrtle (Kjer) Pergande. She was baptized and confirmed in Federated Church and graduated from the Fergus Falls High School.
Frances and Russell C. Johnson were married on March 16, 1947 in Fergus Falls. After their marriage they lived in Fergus Falls. She worked various jobs and then retired from National Foods in Fergus Falls. In her younger years she loved racing stock cars. Fran was a busy lady raising her children and working. She enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Judy Sander, DeAnn (Larry) Gette and Richard Johnson all of Fergus Falls and Allyn Johnson of Moorhead; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, Leslee (Bill) Folger, Brennan, Sam and Garrison, Anna (Adam) Schlepp, Charlie and Arthur, Raeann (Mark) Brosh, Kylie and Lexi, Justin Priebnow, Kobe and Bristol, Hailee Johnson, Laura Wilkinson and Carter Wilkinson; two sisters, JoAnn Thorton and Ruth (Kenny) Anderson both of Fergus Falls; and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Fran was preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle Pergande; son, Gary Johnson; brother, Milford Pergande; and sister, Marjorie Lacey.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Federated Church in Fergus Falls with visitation one hour prior to the service.
