Francis Langer

Francis Frank Langer was born on December 13, 1928, in Alice, ND, to Joseph and Emma (Zimprick) Langer. He was baptized in St. Ansgar's Catholic Church and attended school in Alice. After school, Francis worked various jobs, often working as a laborer on many farms.
On April 9, 1964, Francis married Yvonne Lahren at St. Ansgar's Cathlic Church in Alice. To this union, they were blessed with one child. Francis lived and worked in many different places, working at Anderson Seed Farm in Forman, ND for more than twenty years.
After retirement, Francis and Yvonne moved to Fergus Falls, where they made their home for the past fourteen years. Francis enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially pinochle.
On Monday, October 3, 2011, Francis passed away in Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls, at the age of 82.
Francis is survived by his wife, Yvonne, of Fergus Falls; a daughter, Joyce (Tom) Langer, of Fergus Falls; a granddaughter, Trisha; a brother, Raymond Langer, of West Fargo; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Francis is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Edward; and three sisters, Mary Bayliss, Emma Fiebrger; and Agnes Collins.
Visitation: One hour prior to Mass, at church.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 AM Thursday, October 6, 2011, in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Fergus Falls.
Interment: St. Otto's Catholic Cemetery, Fergus Falls
