Gina M. Noyes, 90, of Fergus Falls, MN passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Broen Home.

She was born March 6, 1925, in Rothsay, MN to Haldor and Martha (Moe) Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rothsay. She was born at the home of her Great Uncle, U. D. Johnson, who was pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church from July 5, 1896 to October 6, 1925, the year she was born.

She attended elementary school and graduated from Rothsay High School in 1943. Gina was Class President of her 1943 High School class and a three-year Cheer Leader, founded in 1940. She was active in the Girls Trio throughout her high school days and was church organist for her church for awhile, Sunday School teacher, and active in choir and musicals. Gina loved to play piano by ear and also played for the Rothsay Lutheran Hour, broadcasting from the Moorhead Station for a short time. She also modeled for fashion shows in Rapid City, SD, where they lived at one time and in Fergus Falls, MN.

After graduation, she attended Interstate Business College, taking a Secretarial Course. She went to work for the State of MN for five years, transferring to St. Paul to work for the Employee and Security Department for two years until moving to Rapid City, SD, becoming secretary/treasurer of Noyes Construction Company.

Gina was united in marriage to Ervin M. Noyes on December 5, 1954 at the Methodist Church in Rapid City, SD. They built their home there enjoying the hunting, fishing, and horseback riding nearby. In 1968, they sold their home, moving to Otter Tail Lake and near their 120 acre hunting property near Maplewood Park. They enjoyed Otter Tail Lake, fishing and swimming for 18 years and later built a home in Wall Lake Marina where they also developed the Marina in a partnership. They lived there for 17 years and wintered at their condo at Rockport, Texas, on the Bay for fishing and hunting. In 1987, they purchased a condo at 100 Kennedy Park Circle, Fergus Falls, and moved in 2002. Mr. Noyes passed away August 6, 2003 and she continued living there.

They were members of Grace Methodist Church, Fergus Falls. She loved the outdoors, music and card playing. Gina volunteered her time for years and lived her life in style and dignity. She was a joyful, fun-loving soul and lived in grace and style with great charm. She will be greatly missed by family, step family and friends. She was a true friend and had a positive attitude and believed in graceful living.

In September of 2013, she donated a parcel of land her husband owned, for a city park, in memory of her husband, E. M. Noyes, and for City Park purposes, a Butterfly Park, and bicycle path and walking paths throughout for the children and health purposes.
