Glenn Terry Olson, 66, of Fergus Falls died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at his home under the care of Lakeland Hospice.
He was born on August 21, 1949 in Detroit Lakes to Tenny and Alma (Johnson) Olson. He attended special education classes in Fergus Falls, was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, and worked at Productive Alternatives until health issues prevented it.
In his earlier years, Glenn had a passion for TV trivia, TV Guide crossword puzzles, rummy, and word finds. He loved to dig dandelions, whack weeds, and swim underwater with his eyes open. He wrote volumes of journals about important people and happenings. He spent countless hours "working" on his computer. Glenn's most favorite things were dogs, butterscotch sundaes, and cute girls. He was gentle, polite, and a genuine friend to all who knew him. He will fondly be remembered for his signature "wink" and wave.
Glenn spent his last several years living at the Oriole Home in Fergus Falls under the guidance of many wonderful and devoted caregivers.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister Susan and brother-in-law Larry Krohn of Battle Lake, and his nephew Weston (Nicole) Krohn of Brainerd.
A family memorial is planned with interment in Cormorant Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
