Gordon Hauge

Gordon Duane Hauge was born January 30, 1938 in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota to Lewis and Elsie (Grewe) Hauge . Gordon was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended Fergus Falls Public School.

Gordon was united in marriage to Carole Noreen Pletan on February 3, l962 by Pastor A.J. Sheldahl at Rock Prairie Lutheran Church rural Elbow Lake. After their marriage they lived in Fergus Falls where Gordon was employed with the Regional Treatment Center for over 20 years until retiring in 2000. They are members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Gordon enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping…some summers they would camp at least every other week-end.

Gordon passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at his home at the age of 72 years under the care of Lakeland Hospise.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Carole and his son, Dean (Desiree Johnson) Hauge of Fergus Falls, and brother-in-law, Hubert Svare, of Fergus Falls; and numerous neices, nephews and friends. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Elsie Hauge; sisters, Eunice Woodard and Dorothy Svare; brothers, Robert Hauge & Elton Hauge.

Visitation: Monday from 4 -7 P.M. at Glende Nilson Funeral Home and 1 hour prior at the church

Funeral: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
