Grace Kirckof, 86 of Henning died Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Cornell Care Center in Cornell, Wisconsin.
Grace Kathleen Kirckof was born on August 21, 1929, in Ross, Minnesota the daughter of Martin and Emma (Nordgaarten) Norstebon. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and attended School in Ross, Minnesota.
Grace and Melvin Kirckof were married on March 11, 1946, in Wadena, Minnesota. Grace was a homemaker and she and Melvin farmed by Bertha until 1970. They moved to West Leaf Lake where they owned Sandy Point Resort and operated Kirckof Plumbing and Heating, until their retirement in 1980. After their retirement they lived in Washington State where they had an apple orchard. In 1995, they returned to the Henning area. Grace lived in Glenwood at the Glenwood Senior Apartments and also Willow Creek Senior Apartments in Henning before moving to Cornell, Wisconsin. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, ice fishing and traveling. Grace was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters, Karol (John) Diehnel of Little River, SC, Kathy (Warren) Widness of Wadena and Mary (Lee) Zarn of Yakima, WA; seven sons, Gary (Donna) of Yakima, WA, Robert (Donna) of Parkers Prairie, John (Karen) of Glenwood, Raymond (Toby) of Norfolk, VA, Glen (Lisa) of Sheldon, WI, Alan (Shawn) of Marysville, WA and Steve (Lori) of Stanley, WI; by twenty-nine grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Selma Meyer of Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Stanley Norstebon of Mountain Home, ID; and by relatives and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Emma Norstebon; husband, Melvin "Bill" Kirckof on March 31, 1999; son, Kenneth Kirckof and by four brothers, Alvin, Melvin, Morris, Rueban, Alan and Milton Norstebon.
