Grace Norberg

Grace Norberg, 90 of Battle Lake died Wednesday, December 9, 2015, receiving 2 ½ years of loving care at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center.
Grace Eleanore Norberg was born on May 21, 1925, to Olaf and Jennie (Lilga) Olson on the family farm that was homesteaded by her Grandfather in the 1870's. She was a lifetime member of the Eagle Lake Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. Grace graduated from Annandale High School.
Grace and Arnold Norberg were married on December 2, 1944, in the Eagle Lake Lutheran Church. After their marriage they farmed by South Haven before moving to the Olson Family Farm by Battle Lake in 1948. Grace served as a National Director of NFO and Supervisor of the Fergus Falls Collection Point starting in 1960, through the 1980's. She was an active member of Eagle Lake Lutheran Church, had served as Council President and was on many committees. Grace was part of the Fellowship Club that volunteered to help develop Faith Haven Camp.
She is survived by her children; Bill (Beth), Mary (Wayne) Nelson, Richard (Karla), Jim (Edie), Art (Denise), Doug (Laura) and daughter, Carolyn Snyder; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and by five great-great grandchildren; and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold on August 22, 2003; son-law, Richard Snyder, infant grandsons, Keith and Kyle Norberg, sister, Ruth Bergsten; two brothers, Robert and Arnold Olson.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Eagle Lake Lutheran Church of rural Battle Lake.
Visitation: Friday from 4 to 7 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm at the Eagle Lake Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Interment: Eagle Lake Lutheran Cemetery
