Grace Pederson, 87 of Fergus Falls, formerly of Otter Tail Lake, died Sunday May 22, 2016, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.
Grace Elizabeth Pederson was born on October 7, 1928, in Hankinson, ND the daughter of Arthur and Evelyn (Mourer) Petterson. On October 7, 1951, Grace married Staffen Pederson in Wahpeton, North Dakota. They moved to their home on Otter Tail Lake in the spring of 1953.
Grace was a homemaker and also worked as an office assistant for the family business; Pederson Building Services. She was a very active member at Zion Lutheran Church of Amor where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and served in many other ways through the years. Grace loved quilting, singing and listening to music. She is remembered by many for the warm hospitality she showed to everyone who came to her door. Grace had a genuine love for people and took great delight in time spent with grandkids, family and friends.
Grace is survived by her three daughters, Peggy (Jerry) Talsness of Underwood, Vicky (Joel Peterson) Schultz of Underwood and Lori (Mike) Charest of Otter Tail Lake; seven grandchildren and families, Jennifer (Kent) Heimark, Hunter, Riely and Asher; Sara (Erik) Ronnevik, Trygvie, Lillya, Tova and Soren; Steven (Cheri) Lyon and Benjamin; Christian (Lindsay) Talsness, Eadie, Graham and Greta; Rebecca (Caleb) Siffring; Samantha (Wes) Green and Lincoln and Martin Charest; and by numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband, Steve on May 31, 1981.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church of Amor, rural Battle Lake.
Visitation: Monday from 4:30 to 6 pm with a Prayer Service at 6 pm at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake and one hour prior to the service at the church.
