Gwen Phyllis Stanley

Gwen Phyllis Stanley, 67, of Fergus Falls, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.

Gwen was born on February 24, 1958, to Philip and Phyllis (Spencer) Lacher in Alexandria, Minnesota. She attended Fergus Falls High School, then later took secretarial classes at Fergus Falls Community College in Fergus Falls, and culinary classes at MSCTC in Moorhead. She worked as a chef and waitress at various places throughout the area. Gwen always loved baking and preparing fabulous meals for the family. The kitchen was definitely her happy place.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip Lacher and Phyllis Lacher; a brother, Brian Lacher; and brother-in-law, Michael Bender.

Gwen is survived by her brother, Craig Lacher (Pamela); sisters, Gail Bender and Beth Tougas (Jeff); 7 nieces and nephews; and 6 great nieces and nephews. Gwen also leaves behind her special friend, Tom Stanley.
