Harold Larson

Harold “Bud” Larson, 95, of Evansville, formerly of Ashby, died Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Evansville Care Campus, Evansville, Minnesota .

Harold James Larson was born on January 8, 1926, in Ashby, Minnesota, the son of Louis and Clara M. (Kessel) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed in Christ Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake.

On December 5, 1970, Bud was united in Marriage to Clara M. Froslie at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, Minnesota by Pastor Myre. After receiving his education, Bud farmed near Ashby for the majority of his life. As a farmer dedicated to agriculture and his community, Bud was active in many local organizations and boards, including: a director of the Ashby Equity Association, director of Ashby Produce, held numerous positions within Christ Lutheran Church, was secretary of the Christ Lutheran Cemetery Board for many years, and was active in many volunteer fund drives. Bud enjoyed nature and the simple things in life. A true farmer, he most enjoyed the sunshine and just being out in the fresh air.

Bud is survived by step-grandchildren, Angie Williams and Brad Williams; four step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Clara on April 16, 2012; step daughter, Virginia Wood ; siblings, Florence, Edna, Dorothy, Henry, Lawrence, and Lillian.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday October 8, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church, Elbow Lake, with a visitation one hour prior at the church.
