Ivy McGuire

Ivy Anne McGuire, 24, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends at her home in Battle Lake, Minnesota.

Ivy was born on July 9, 1999, to her parents Stacy Crouse and Ryan McGuire in Fergus Falls, MN. She attended school in Battle Lake and graduated in 2017. In 2018, Ivy experienced the joy of becoming a mother to her daughter Aisley Lynn Evavold. Prior to becoming ill, she was working as a Para-Professional for Detroit Lakes Schools while studying Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University.

Ivy enjoyed music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Ivy was known for her determined strength, loyalty, and passionate nature. She had the biggest heart and a smile that would always light up the room.  Ivy’s greatest joy in life was her daughter Aisley. Motherhood came naturally to her.  Ivy most enjoyed her time with Aisley dancing, singing, and snuggling with their beagle Layla.

Ivy is preceded in death by her grandfather Terry Lee Anderson.

She is survived by her daughter Aisley Evavold; mother Stacy (Chad) Crouse; father Ryan McGuire; siblings Eve and Cainen Crouse and Keegan, Keylin, and Liam McGuire; grandparents Cathy (Duane) Anderson, Victor and Julie McGuire, Deb (Doug) Crouse, Casey (Bobby) Crouse; Aisley’s dad Jed Evavold, and countless aunts, uncles, and friends.

 A Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM at First Lutheran Church in Battle Lake, MN. A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM with a prayer service at 8PM on Wednesday November 1, 2023, at First Lutheran, and will continue an hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Nidaros Cemetery.
