James Amundson, 75, of Fergus Falls died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
James Lee Amundson was born March 17, 1941 in Bagley, MN the son of Jacob and Evelyn (Adamson) Amundson.
On December 20, 1958 he married Gayle Rud at Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley. He graduated from Bagley High School in 1959. In 1960 they moved to Eugene, Oregon where Jim worked for Monsanto. In 1984 they moved to Seattle, Washington, where Jim worked for Rhône-Poulenc. In 1989 they transferred to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and lived until his retirement from Rhône-Poulenc in 1998.
In 1999 they returned to Minnesota and made their home in Amor for 15 years. They moved into Fergus Falls in 2014.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, reading and Sudoku.
Preceding him in death are his parents, sister Barbara and niece Susan.
Jim is survived by his wife Gayle; his children, Kevin, Kelly and Karri; grandson Jason; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Rosemary; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial Service: 2 PM, Wednesday, September 21 at Battle Lake Alliance Church, Battle Lake, Minnesota
