James Anderson

James Anderson, 34, of Elbow Lake, died Thursday, September 21, 2017, in his home.

James Milo Anderson was born on September 20, 1983, in Alexandria, Minnesota, the son of Lee and Nola (Haagenson) Anderson.  He was confirmed in Calvary Covenant Church in Evansville and graduated from Ashby High School in 2002.  He later continued his education at Alexandria Technical College for two years in Machine Tool Technology, graduating in 2012.

He worked nine years for Northland Rebuilding in Dalton.  After college, he was employed with several different machine jobs in the area and enjoyed doing engineering and machining type projects.   He loved music, was a self-taught guitar player and did a lot of music writing.  He loved to read, thus spending a lot of time at the library. James also loved dogs and fishing.

James is survived by his parents, Lee Anderson of Elbow Lake and Nola Anderson of Ashby; four siblings, Sarah (Travis) Halena, Anna, Jayson and Emma of Elbow Lake; Laura (Bryan) McKown, Bryson, Braylyn, Bryella and Brylee of Wyndmere, ND; Walter Anderson and Daegyn of Campbell; and Garyt Haagenson-Buck of Ashby; grandpa, Milo Haagenson of Battle Lake; and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Evelyn Anderson and Marion Haagenson; uncle and aunt, Ronald and Bernice Anderson.

Memorial Service: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls .

Visitation: Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM, with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Ashby and one hour prior at the Fergus Falls location on Wednesday.

Clergy: Rev. Mark Erickson

Interment: Leaf Mountain Lutheran Cemetery of rural Clitherall.
