Jan Lund, 74 of Fergus Falls died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Sheridan House under Lakeland Hospice Care.
Jan Larry Lund was born on September 23, 1937 by Lake Benton, Minnesota the son of Guy and Gladys (Casperson) Lund. He graduated from the Pipestone High School in 1955. Jan then served four years with the U.S. Marine Corp from July of 1955 to July of 1959 when he was honorably discharged.
Jan and Maxine Becker were married on April 15, 1961 in Janesville, Minnesota. After their marriage he began employment with Herberger's in Mankato for one year, then transferred to New Ulm where he worked for twenty-two years. In 1983, Jan and Maxine moved to Fergus Falls where he worked various jobs until his retirement. He liked fishing, hunting, gardening and especially enjoyed camping with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine; four sons, Chris (Jen) and Jeff (Lori) both of Cyrus, Jim (Kim) of Moorhead and Doug (Kay) of Waseca; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Justin, Nathan, Taylor, Lauren, Benjamin, Sawyer and Dylan; eight siblings, Jean, Milton, Guy, Pat, Cleon, Gail, Paul and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eric David Lund and by one sister, Marle.

Memorial Service: 4 pm Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Chapel in Fergus Falls
Visitation: one hour prior to the service
