Jerald Einerson, 77 of Clitherall died Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center.
Jerald Milton Einerson was born on May 4, 1934 in Dawson, Minnesota the son of Milton and Florence (Otheim) Einerson. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo, Minnesota and graduated from the Montevideo High School. On December 6, 1952 Jerry married Arlys Trandahl and they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where Jerry was employed with the Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power Company and later worked with the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission Wigwam Fish Rearing Station in Ten Sleep, Wyoming. In 1963, they returned to Montevideo purchasing a farm near Watson where he raised corn and soybeans and was employed with Ree Motors. Jerry then managed Montevideo EHY Lumber before becoming the Chippewa County Building Inspector and Zoning Administrator. After his retirement, Jerry and Arlys moved to a home on Clitherall Lake where he enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and watching sports.
He is survived by his wife, Arlys; two children, Jeffrey Einerson of Clitherall and Jennifer Hall of Battle Lake; grandchildren, Natalie Einerson and Jacob Einerson of St. Michael and Jessica (Rick) Dorn and their daughter Vanessa of Vining and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Florence Einerson; two brothers, Hartley and Donald Einerson and by one sister, Sharon Einerson.
Funeral Service: 2 pm Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Eagle Lake Lutheran Church of rural Battle Lake.
Visitation: one hour prior to the service
