Jerry Enderson, 75 of Fergus Falls died on his farm on April 22, 2010. He was born in Fergus Falls to Lloyd and Emily (Westerberg) Enderson on May 15, 1934. He was baptized at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He attended public school in Fergus Falls. On December 24, 1954, he married Doris Pederson. They resided on a farm in Buse Township where they have made their home for 55 years.
Jerry started in the trucking business and later owned and operated grain elevators in Barnesville, MN and Davenport, ND. He also owned and operated livestock operations in Fergus Falls and Twin Valley, MN and was a well known business man in the Red River Valley and throughout North Dakota.
Jerry was a Presbyterian Elder of the Federated Church and a former member of the Men’s Club. He was a former member of the Masons, Shriners, and a trustee of the Elks Club. He was a Harris Fellow of the Noon Rotary Club. He was also a member of the Minnesota and National Cattleman’s Association.
Jerry enjoyed family time at the Otter Tail Lake cabin as well as the rolling hills of the Spring Lake farm where he loved riding around in his pickup with his dogs, Ginger and Duke. He loved a spirited conversation, reminiscing, teasing the grandchildren, preparing breakfast, and the Irish Agricultural Exchange boys. He was the life of the table at morning coffee all around the area. He always considered it a blessing to have his family close by. He never missed a livestock sale and enjoyed working every day. His ambition, motivation, humor, and optimism carried him and those around him through the day.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Doris; their children Carri (Steven) Thompson, Mary (Phillip) Link, Tim (Kathryn) Enderson, and Joel Enderson all of Fergus Falls; 12 grandchildren: Ben (Monica) Thompson, Rebekah (Justin) Ohren, Mark Thompson, Landon Link, Aaron Link, Elizabeth Link, Emily (Ayrat) Sitdikova, Liza Enderson, Kati Enderson, Bethany Enderson, Laura Enderson, and Stephanie (Kevin) Schmidt; and great-granddaughters, Ava Thompson and Keira Ohren; five sisters: Patti (Everett) Norton of Grosse Isle, MI, Lois Lillemon of Fergus Falls, Sally Serrago of Bluffton, SC, Nancy Adair of Wahpeton, ND and Connie (Donald) Eggen of Fergus Falls along with numerous nieces and nephews.
