John Anthony Robertson was born June 19, 1953, in Fergus Falls to Vincent and Virginia (Fridgen) Robertson.
He was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and attended Our Lady of Victory School.
In 1972, he graduated from Fergus Falls High School.
He then attended the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota School of Business and graduated with honors from St. Cloud State University with a Business Degree.
He lived in the St Cloud area and worked in real estate and pharmaceutical sales.
John believed that being a good steward of the land was everyone’s responsibility.
His passions were family, hunting, fishing and his beloved dogs.
His stories of hunting and fishing are things of legend!
He was a member of MN Deer Hunters Association, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited and MN Waterfowl Association.
He had a great love and respect for Native Americans and their culture.
John Robertson, 56, of Sartell died Monday, April 19, 2010, at his home.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Robertson of Fergus Falls; his former wife, Cindy of St. Cloud; sister, Kay (Jeffrey) Demmer of Elbow Lake; brothers, Steven (Gretchen) Robertson of St. Paul, MN, Mike (Mary) Robertson of Fergus Falls, Tony (Therese) Robertson of Auckland, New Zealand and Richard Robertson (former wife, Becky) of Fergus Falls; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends and his two dogs, Annie Sioux and Gypsy. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent, his brother, James and his numerous canine friends.
