Joseph Willems

Joseph L. Willems, 63, of Battle Lake, formerly St. Paul, died suddenly on May 27 at his residence. He was a beloved brother to Laura Miller (Richard) of Battle Lake; uncle to Richard J. Miller (Stephanie) of Alexandria and Jillann L. Norman (Todd) of St. Cloud; great-uncle to Erin, Ashley and Macie Miller and Gabriel and Isaak Norman. Joseph is also survived by three aunts and many cousins. He served his country as a U.S. Marine and came home from Vietnam wounded in heart and spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Solveig and Joseph Willems. He will be truly missed by family and friends and especially his little buddy, Murphy. You are FREE now Joe, may Peace be yours!
