Joyce Huseth, 68, of rural Underwood, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, Minnesota.
Joyce LaVonne Huseth was born on October 1, 1944 in Moose Lake, Minnesota the daughter of Rudy and Gladys (Gilbertson) Anderson. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed in the Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Joyce went through the first grade in Sturgeon Lake then moved with her parents to Fergus Falls where she attended the Fergus Falls Public School.
Joyce and Terry Huseth were married on May 18, 1960, just celebrating fifty-three years of marriage. They made their home in Tordenskjold Township, rural Underwood. She was employed with the Fergus Falls Elks for twenty years, and also owned and operated Stalker Lake Industries, with her husband Terry, for several years. She enjoyed gardening, loved craft and rummage sales with her sister, cleaning house and was known by her family to have the cleanest closets in Otter Tail County. Joyce and Terry enjoyed their pets they had over the years, wintering in Nevada, and loved the time spent with their family, especially their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Terry; three sons, Brad Huseth of Underwood, Brian (LeAnn) Huseth of Underwood and Bruce (Lorie) Huseth of Erhard; six grandchildren, Monica (Jake) Baker of Waterville, Travis Huseth of Fergus Falls, Samantha Huseth of Underwood, Dakota, Haley and Mason Huseth all of Erhard; three great-grandchildren, Kaden and Brecken Baker and Aubree Huseth; one brother, Ray (Connie) Anderson of Minneapolis; two sisters, Janice (John) Noplos of Hutchinson and DeeDee (Jerry) Haugen of Elbow Lake; mother-in-law, Iola Huseth of Evansville; two sisters-in-law, Anita Anderson of Alexandria and JoAnn Anderson of Sandstone; and by numerous relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Gladys Anderson; two brothers, Dale and Wayne Anderson; father-in-law, Clarence Huseth; and by one sister-in-law, Susan Anderson.
Funeral Services: 1:00 pm, Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Zion-Saarpsborg Lutheran Church in Dalton
Visitation: 4-7 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm Thursday at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls - and one hour prior to the service at church.
