June Weseman

June Deloris Weseman was born on June 20, 1933 in Fergus Falls , Minnesota the daughter of John and Alma (Meslow) Hovland. She was baptized in the Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and graduated from the Fergus Falls High School in 1951. June and Simon Weseman were married on September 15, 1956.

After their marriage they lived in Fergus Falls until Simon joined the Army when they moved to Fayetteville , NC where their daughter Kari was born. Following his discharge they returned to Fergus Falls where June was employed with Service Food, working for three generations of the Spies family for fifty-four years, retiring as their bookkeeper in 2007. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church , VFW and the Eagles all of Fergus Falls . June enjoyed being with family and friends, the Hovland Family Picnics on Otter Tail Lake and she especially enjoyed her grandsons.

On Monday, August 9, 2010, June passed away at
Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls at the age of 77 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Kari (Dean) Kjesbo of Norcross; two grandsons, Colin and Kent Kjesbo of Norcross; two sisters, Lorraine (Kermit) Kastella and Anna Butkus both of Fergus Falls; three brothers, Kenneth (Martha) Hovland of Fergus Falls, John Hovland of Dalton and Douglas (Carol) Hovland of Fergus Falls; three sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hovland of Battle Lake, Irene (Harlan) Roth of Alexandria and Janet (Alan) Bergstrom of Spring Lake Park, MN; two brothers-in-law, Raymond (Joan) Weseman of Manassas, VA and Dennis (Iva) Weseman of Forrest Lake; a special friend, Marv Hanson of Rollag, MN; and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon; parents, John and Alma Hovland; two sisters, Alice (Earl) Olson and Marjorie (Johnny) Jensen; three brothers, Joe (Ollie) Hovland, Lincoln Hovland and Hubert Hovland; and by one sister-in-law, Florence Hovland.
