Kimi Jacobson-Boeckman

Kimi Jacobson-Boeckman, 52, formerly of Wadena and Battle Lake, died Saturday, August 26, 2017, at her home in Henning.

Kimi Rae Jacobson-Boeckman was born on November 12, 1964, in Stockton, California the daughter of Gary and Carol (Peterson) Jacobson. She graduated from the Battle Lake High School in 1983, then furthered her education at Moorhead State University graduating with a non-teaching English Degree, and later went to Concordia College where she received her teaching license.

Kimi and Thomas Boeckman were married on July 30, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have one daughter, Chelsea born on March 31, 1990, and one grandson, Hunter William Carlson born on December 19, 2015. Kimi had lived in California; Salt Lake City, Utah; Salem, Oregon; Battle Lake; St. Paul; Deer Creek; Wadena; and Henning. She student taught in Perham, did substitute teaching in Wadena, Staples, Parkers Prairie and Underwood. She judged speech for twenty years. Kimi enjoyed quilting, cross stitch, gardening and loved orchids. Kimi was a member of the Wadena County Humane Society.

She is survived by her daughter, Chelsea Rae (Eric Carlson) Boeckman of Aberdeen, SD; grandson, Hunter William Carlson; mother, Carol Jacobson of Battle Lake; brother, Brian Jacobson of Battle Lake; and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kimi was preceded in death by her father, Gary Jacobson and by her husband, Thomas Boeckman.

Visitation: 5 - 7 PM Tuesday, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake, and one hour prior to services at the funeral home in Fergus Falls.

Funeral Service: 11 AM Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls.

Interment: Lakewood Cemetery, Battle Lake
