Larry Kinder, 73, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND

He was born March 28, 1940 in Des Moines, IA to Victor and Willa Mae (Jones) Kinder. He grew up and received his education in Martensdale, IA. On April 17, 1961, Larry was united in marriage to Linda Grosvenor at Neola, IA. The couple made their home in Martensdale. Larry was employed as a MoorMans Feed salesman. In 1981, they moved to Minnesota where Larry and Linda owned and operated the Angler's Beach Resort on Cass Lake for ten years. Larry worked various jobs after selling the resort in 1991. He retired in 2002. Linda passed away on November 27, 2008. In January of 2009, Larry moved to Fergus Falls.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, his pets and spending time at Cass Lake with Linda. He was infamous for his exaggerated storytelling and his ability to sit and tell jokes for hours, never forgetting one.

He is survived by his son, Randy (Denise) Kinder of Fergus Falls; his grandchildren, Courtney and Derek Kinder of Fergus Falls; three brothers: Gary Kinder of Oklahoma, John (Carla) Kinder of Arkansas and Tom (Connie) Lull of Iowa; sister-in-law, Judy (Jim) Martin of Iowa; brother-in-law Jack (Lynn) Grosvenor of Iowa and several nieces and nephews. Larry and Linda are also survived by their good friends, Gene and Kayla of Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his step-father, Rex Lull and a sister-in-law, Connie Kinder.

Funeral Services: 10 AM, Monday, November 11, 2013 at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls

Visitation: 3-5 PM Sunday at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls - and one hour prior to the service
