Lila Price

Lila Lee Price of Fergus Falls, formerly of Brandon, went peacefully with her Lord on August 25, 2019 at the age of 84.

She was born June 30, 1935 in Malta, MT to sharp shooter parents, Henry and Fern (Anderson) Hansen.  In 1937, the family moved to the Midwest and it is where Lila graduated in 1953 from Marion High School, Marion, IA.  After graduating, Lila worked as a telephone operator and because of her love of music, she sang in the church choir and danced her way into many hearts including her lifelong dance partner and husband, Keith Price.  They wed in June of 1956 and together they danced many waltz’s and followed their favorite western swing band, “The Dave Dighton Band.”

Lila was a cub scout leader, Eastern Star member and very active in her church.  Because of their love for the lakes and fishing, Lila and Keith moved the family to Minnesota in 1969.  Lila had the quality of being friendly, generous and kind.  For Lila, teaching and spreading kindness and compassion was how she taught us to connect with people and because it was the right thing to do.  She emulated respect and hard work.  Lila was the mom all kids wanted to have.  She was always the “go to” mom for advice.  Lila dearly loved her children and grandchildren and was proud to be called Grandma.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Keith Lee Price, Sr., a grandson, Keith Lee Price III, sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Christopher Schwab and a brother-in-law, Chuck Boots.  Lila was blessed to still have her sister, Marleen Boots; brother, Henry “Butch” (Cathie) Hansen; her children, Keith Price, Jr. (Carla Floberg), Henry (Deb) Price, Vicki Lee (Daryl) Schmidt, Lori (Dean) Johnson and Lisa (Jerry) Morehouse; her grandchildren: Kristine (Graham) Poage, Traci DeNoma, Dustin Price, Zach Price, Jake (Jennifer) Cronk, Gabriel (Allison) Cronk, Katie (Brandt) Peterson, Jason (Tara) Price, Matt (Jess) Price, Andy (Kelsey) Price, Chase (Ashley) Lee, Adi (Tanner) Klemetson, Kole Lee, Mariah Reynolds, Jason (Becky) Lee, Jeremy (Kai) Lee, Cassie Johnson (Matt Thompson), Cory Johnson (Ashley Koza), Heather (Chris) Jordan, Raymond (Lindsey) Morehouse, Maddie Morehouse and Hunter Morehouse; 37 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Todd Lee; brother-in-law, Doug (Barb) Price; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Dave) Dighton, Sandy Christensen and Denise Short.
