Lillian Pargman, 101, of Barrett, formerly of Wendell, died Friday, August 28, 2015, at the Barrett Care Center.
Lillian Bernice Spencer was born on April 15, 1914, in Shaokatan Township, Lincoln County near Hendricks, Minnesota, the daughter of Edward Melville and Carrie Martina (Dahl) Spencer. She attended grade school in rural Wendell and completed the 11th grade at Joliet High School in Illinois.
On June 24, 1934, she married Ernest Henry Pargman in Moorhead. The couple resided in rural Wendell and Lillian was not only a wonderful homemaker but also worked as a beautician and a nursing assistant at the Barrett Care Center.
Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting and baking many delicacies to entertain her family and friends. For a while, she even made wedding cakes.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Bud) Kuehn of Milnor, ND; a son, Curtis (Linda) of Big Lake, MN; daughter-in-law, Karen Pargman of Underwood; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; a son, Lowell; siblings, Olga DeGrace, Nina Watry, Robert "Rob", Arthur, Vivian Erpelding and Vernon.
