Lori Anne (Lyons) Anderson passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, October 11, 2024. Surrounded by family. She was a patient in Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.
Born at Bronson Methodist Hospital November 8, 1960 in Kalamazoo, MI. Lori moved with her family, to Fergus Falls Minnesota in 1966. She attended both Cleveland and McKinley elementary schools, and Fergus Falls Junior and Senior High Schools.
Lori married Jerome Anderson on October 15, 1977. After he finished Airforce training, they settled in Minot, ND where they lived until returning to Fergus Falls so Jerome could run the family business in 1978.
Lori led a life of many interests. She loved her Harley Motorcycle and helped in many charity rides. She and Jerome attended Sturgis motorcycle events several times. She enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake. But by far, Lori was first a wife and mother. She loved her children, and also helped with their activities. She was also known as a fierce advocate for the educational rights of her children and her grandson who lived with them. Her heart was filled with love and generosity and her family and friends were her highest priorities. Yet Lori was also very tender, helping people whenever she could, and her love of animals was a constant throughout her life. She lived with several difficult health conditions, but she tried hard to not allow those from preventing her from living the best life.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Enola Lyons; In-laws, Mary and Orville Anderson; and Brother-in law, Tom Schmidt. As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Lori is survived by her husband of 47 years Jerome Anderson; her son, Joe Anderson, and his son Justin Anderson, her son Jonathan Anderson and his wife Kristen and their children, Gabriella and Lincoln, her son James and his husband, Jeremy Anderson. She is also survived by her sisters and their families; Lenore Hegland, her husband Gary , and her four children, 14 grandchildren and five great-children, Denise and Bob Hemerick and their family of six children and 11 grandchildren; and Victoria Schmidt, her son Aaron, and two grandchildren. Also surviving are Betty Engelhart; Shirley Koepke, her daughters Sabrina Toso, Samantha Stodola and two grandchildren; Orville Anderson, Jr. his wife Elaine and two children; Jeffrey Anderson and former wife Karen and their two children.
Services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th, 2024. Lunch will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Procession to Knollwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 19123 Pebble Lake Rd, Fergus Falls, MN will follow lunch. at Grace United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements were made by Glende-Nilson Funeral Homes. There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the funeral services.
