Marcella "Marcie" Trosvig, 85, of Fergus Falls died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Pioneer Care.
She was born April 18, 1929 in Friberg Township of Otter Tail County to Herman and Mary (Barry) Mavis. She grew up in Friberg Township and attended school at District 159. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School. Marcie worked at the Skogmo Café, Beall and McGown and the City of Fergus Falls. On August 11, 1951, she was united in marriage to Kenneth "Pete" Trosvig in Fergus Falls. The couple made their home in Fergus Falls.
Marcie enjoyed bowling, golfing and attending Senior Citizens. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Fergus Falls Senior Citizens.
Marcie is survived by a sister-in-law, Elaine (Harlan) Knutson of Pelican Rapids, two brothers-in-law: Wesley (Sharon) Nelson of Ashby and Roy Trosvig of Minneapolis and several nieces, nephews and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Pete Trosvig in October of 1989, four sisters: Adeline Janu, Josephine Hornstine, Kathryn Nelson and Elizabeth Gerhardson and one brother, Charles Mavis.
